Religious Education Classes      Registration (for all classes)
You do not have to pay tuition at time of registration!!! There is no late fee for late payment. We encourage early registration because it is very costly to order additional supplies in the fall. Tuition should not be a hardship; speak to Fr. Mark or Mary Catherine for more information.

Our conventional classroom instruction for grades Pre-K through 8 is offered on Sunday mornings from 10:15 to 11:30 and most families attend the 9:00 Mass before class.  For middle school students there is also a summer option.

9th grade and Confirmation classes meet on select Sunday evenings, about twice a month, starting with Mass at 5:30pm. [top]

Sacrament Preparation Classes

Students preparing for First Holy Communion (usually in the second grade) and Confirmation (typically in the tenth grade) must receive conventional, or formal, religious education training for at least the one year preceding the Sacrament Preparation class.  First Communion web page

Confirmation preparation begins early in the year with the "Summer of Discernment" designed to help students decide whether or not they are ready to make the commitment necessary to complete the preparation and be confirmed.  Confirmation students are also required to have had formal religious education training for the year before the confirmation process begins. Vacation Bible School   August 2-6, 2010

Coordinator:  Annette Nash - beachgrl64@hotmail.com

Vacation Bible School at OLOS is a joyful way for a Christian community to experience fellowship through God's word in bible readings, crafts, games, dance, song, prayer and fun snacks too! It will create lasting memories for the children, as well as all the volunteers who donate their time and talents.

It is not necessary that children be members of our parish to attend. Older children are very welcome as helpers.   Cousins, guests, friends and neighbors are all welcome!  There is no charge for this wonderful program - free will offerings are gratefully accepted.

Jesus said, "I came that they may have life and might have it abundantly". John 10:10  Won't you come join us at Vacation Bible School Week and witness what He meant?

If you  would like to be involved please contact Annette Nash.
