The Faith Formation Office is closed on Saturdays and Mondays.
The Family Life program started the first weekend in November and will be discussed in the classrooms every first Sunday through April.
- Parent materials are available in the hall during class.
- There is additional material on human sexuality for the 5th and 6th grades.
- If you DO NOT wish your children to participate in these lessons, the archdiocese requires you to sign a form stating this. Parent Declination Form (PDF)
Grades Pre-K through 8 meet on Sunday mornings.
PARK IN THE LOWER LOT AND BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THE HALL
Parents must accompany children to the hall and stay for announcements at 9:00.
and pick up children in the hall* when class is dismissed at 10:15
*Grades 5 & 6 will be dismissed from the trailer and Fr. Mark's house to the lower parking lot
9th Grade and Confirmation Classes will meet at 5:30 on Sunday evenings about twice a month.
This week in class:
Pre-K - Annette Nash & Joanne Burns
9/25: Lesson 2: We learned about the uniqueness of our smile and how it can bring happiness to others. Then children made smile cards to give out.
10/2: Lesson 3: We will talk about why our hands are special. The children will make their hand-prints with paint. We have smocks, however they should dress accordingly. We will learn the importance of the sign of the cross and practice it each week after prayer and blessing.
10/30- Favorite Saints Day. The Children were asked to color a picture or dress up like their favorite Saint for prizes. We begin our next Unit 2: I Can Discover/ Lesson 6- I can See. In this session the children will develop a greater awareness and appreciation of their sense of sight.
11/6- Lesson 7- I Can Touch. The children will develop a greater awareness and appreciation for their sense of touch through story, discussion and various sensory activities.
11/13- Lesson 8- I Can Hear. The children will develop a greater awareness and appreciation for their sense of hearing through differing listening skills and other hear related activities.
11/20- We will jump ahead to Unit 5: I Can Celebrate/ Lesson 26 Thanksgiving. The children will develop a attitude of thankfulness and appreciation for God's gifts through story, discussion and activities
*Note that each session we close with our Christ Candle lit and we join in Prayer, Scripture and a Blessing.

- We discussed God's Promise to us and we made a promise that we will work on this week.
- We also discussed different names for Jesus....Focusing on The Savior
- Question of the Week....What can we do on a daily basis to show God we love Him?

9/25 This week we discussed God's Creation and we walked to Mary's Garden to say a prayer and acknowledge some of God's Creation! We completed Chapter One.
10/2 This week in Chapter Two we will discuss the Church, so we will walk over to the Church and discuss different areas. We will also be working on our prayers.
Grade 4
Class 4A - Glynis Sullivan & Arlene Austin
10/2 This week our objective will be to learn the Ten Commandments and explain the meaning of each one. Homework will be sent home with students including a Unit Review.

The 5th Grade has completed the first three "Call to Faith" lessons.
Chapter 1 - Longing for God - Religion is the way we express our longing for God.
Chapter 2 - Thankfulness for God's creations and our moral obligation to respect the integrity of all God has created.
Practicing stewardship (respect for all life and responsible care of creation).
Chapter 3 - God's presence in signs (Moses and the Burning Bush; sacraments); nature, Human Life and Scripture.

9/25: This week the 6th grade discussed how God revealed himself through stories in the Bible.
We completed Chapter 1 in our books.
