Sacramental Life
Mass is celebrated each weekday at 8:00 AM. (Thursday at 9:00 AM) The Sacrament of Reconsiliation (Penance) is available from 4:00 to 4:30 PM on Saturday afternoons and by appointment.
Baptisms are celebrated each Sunday directly after the 11:00 AM Mass.
Arrangements can be made by calling the office. A Baptismal preparation class is
held on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM.
Marriage arrangements can be made by calling the office at least 6 months before the desired date. (Many couples plan a year in advance.) Couples are required to attend a pre- marriage preparation program. This program is offered by the Archdiocese and we have couples in the parish who offer the program individually. Marriage is a serious life commitment. We will not confirm a marriage date until registration in confirmed in a marriage preparation program.
The Sacrament of the Sick and hospital visits. If someone is gravely ill call the parish to have a priest administer the sacramental anointing. Because of privacy laws, hospitals no longer call churches and ask for a visit from the clergy. If someone is in the hospital for any length of time and they would like a visit, please inform the parish office.
First Communion, First Penance, and Confirmation are handled by the Religious
Education office. Generally young people are called to the sacraments after they have
attended religious education for a minimum of 2 years.
Adult converts attend the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program. The program begins in September and classes are held once a week in the parish office. Adults are welcomed into the church at Easter on Holy Saturday. Contact the office for more information.
